Hive Power Engineering LLC

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 9, 2026

This policy explains how Hive Power Engineering LLC, based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, handles personal information collected through this website.

Information we collect

When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, optional phone number, inquiry subject, and message. If you apply through our careers form, we receive your name, email address, optional phone number and LinkedIn URL, and resume. See the Applicant Privacy Notice for recruitment details.

Our hosting and service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times, and security logs to deliver and protect the website. We do not ask you to provide sensitive personal information through these forms.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, discuss requested engineering services, evaluate applications, communicate with applicants, operate the website, prevent abuse, and meet applicable legal obligations. Sending an inquiry or application does not subscribe you to marketing messages.

The confirmation checkbox in our contact form acknowledges that you have read this notice. It does not subscribe you to marketing or waive your privacy rights.

Service providers and disclosures

  • EmailJS and our email provider: deliver contact messages and application details to our team.
  • Firebase Storage: stores uploaded resumes. A resume download link is included in the application email. Anyone who obtains that link may be able to access the resume, so it should not be forwarded or published.
  • VirusTotal: receives a resume fingerprint (SHA-256 hash) or an identifier for a link to check existing security reports. We do not upload resumes or submit links for public scanning. A missing report is not a clean-file or safe-link verdict.
  • Google Maps: receives technical information when you choose to enable the map, as explained below.
  • Hosting providers: deliver the website and may maintain operational and security logs.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, address fraud or security incidents, or respond to a legal claim. Service providers process information under their own applicable terms and policies, and may process it in the United States or other countries.

Cookies, browser storage, and Google Maps

The website does not include advertising pixels or analytics trackers. We use browser local storage for your theme (theme) and optional map choice (hive-privacy-choices). The theme stays until you clear it. Privacy choices are honored for up to 180 days, after which we ask again; expired entries are replaced when you make a new choice.

Google Maps is off by default. If you allow it, Google can receive your IP address, browser information, and other technical data and may use cookies or similar storage under its Privacy Policy. Choose “Reject optional” to keep the embedded map off. You can revisit “Privacy choices” in the footer and withdraw permission at any time. Withdrawing permission stops future map loading on this site; it does not remove data already received by Google or cookies Google already set.

You can clear browser storage and cookies in your browser settings. If browser storage is blocked, your choices apply during the current visit but may not be saved for a later visit. Following an external map link opens Google’s website, where its policies apply.

Retention and security

Retention depends on the purpose of the inquiry or application, the status of our relationship, and applicable legal, recordkeeping, and dispute-related requirements. We have not established a fixed website-wide retention period. You may contact us about the retention of your information or request deletion, subject to records we need or are required to retain.

No internet transmission or storage method guarantees absolute security. Please do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, financial account details, medical information, or confidential project documents through a general inquiry or resume upload.

Your requests and choices

Contact us at the address below to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have provided, or to ask about its use. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Available rights and exceptions depend on applicable law; requests are handled accordingly.

Children and policy updates

This website is intended for business contacts and employment applicants, and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.

We may update this policy when website practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
